The Colour Dash

Over the past two years I've been honoured to partner with Harcourts Cooper & Co as the official sponsor of the Blue Zone at the Colour Dash.

The Colour Dash is a vibrant, inclusive, joy-filled community event designed for everyone, bringing together people of all ages and abilities, through a fully accessible Colour Dash carnival. Removing barriers that often prevent disabled people and their whanau from participating in community events, inclusion was embedded throughout every aspect of planning and delivery - from accessible parking and mobility shuttles, to a wheelchair boardwalk providing full access.

Colour Dash also raises funds for the Liz Soper Foundation of Care, helping New Zealanders living with disability access meaningful experiences and connections that create joy, confidence, and lifelong memories.

$32,690.95 were the net funds raised for the Liz Soper Foundation of Care - Colour Dash is the primary source of funds that sustain the foundation's work.

These came from ticket sales, the principal revenue source and intentionally reduced from the previous year to be more financially accessible in 2026; Harcourts Cooper & Co's and Michael Swarbrick's combined $5,000 sponsorship contribution; and $186 in donations from Coffee&Cone sales proceeds.

100% of the ticket sales and event revenue was donated directly to the Liz Soper Foundation of Care. Funds raised will directly enable the Foundation's next funding round which opens in August 2026. Up to 30 grants of $1,000 each will be made available to fund as many as 30 life-enriching experiences for disabled New Zealanders.
